Well, you could start by getting off on a floor below yours and take the stairs for one floor. With time, you can keep lengthening the distance. This will surely help you shed those extra kilos.

2. Eat a healthy breakfast

Breakfast is said to be the most important meal of the day. If you take a fiber-rich breakfast, you will be able to keep your hunger in check and will in turn eat less at lunch and dinner.

3. Serve dinner in plates

Instead of serving food in bowls and platters, switch to serving restaurant style. Once you are done eating what’s on your plate, you won’t be able to reach for second serving.

4. Eat slowly

Experts say that it takes your stomach about 20 minutes to send out satiety signals to your brain. So, eat calmly, chew well, and take a sip of water frequently. If you eat slowly, it will give your brain enough time to tell you that you are no longer hungry.

5. Eat only when you are hungry

Eating out of boredom is one of the prime causes of weight gain. Wait for your stomach to growl before you starting eating.

6. Drink water

This weight-loss aid is available to you straight from your kitchen. If you drink water before your meals, it will aid you in cutting back on your portions. Also, this will help you avoid taking soda and other calorie-rich beverages.

7. Walk the talk

Since you spend a major part of your day talking on the phone, you might as well use it to burn some calories. So, the next time you are talking to your buddy, walk while you talk. You could simply keep moving from one room to another while the call lasts. You will be surprised as to how easy it is to walk for several minutes without getting bored.
