March was the first month of the year in the Roman calendar before the present day Gregorian calendar came into use. It was known as Martius after Mars, the Roman god of war.

People born in the month of March come under either of the two zodiac signs of Pisces
and Aries based on whether their birthday is on/before March 20 or later.

3. Birth flower

Daffodil is the birth flower for the month of March. Daffodil or Narcissus is a golden Mediterranean flower that symbolizes positivity, generosity and unrequited love.
