Instead, stick to water or herbal teas to hydrate the body. Intake of fresh vegetable juices can also help to maintain a lean body.

2. Avoid snacking

If you believe in the concept of snacking the whole day, then think again. Snacking the whole day means you would put on some weight. To maintain a lean figure, avoid snacking. An ideal choice would be to have three meals per day.

3. Avoid junk food

Avoid junk foods and high calorie foods. All those foods can slow down the metabolism rate of the body. That in turn affects the normal weight. Replace foods which are high in calories with foods with low cal options.

4. Include lean protein

Include lean protein in the diet plan to maintain weight. Protein helps to build the normal metabolism rate but at the same time provides energy to the body. It also helps to build the muscle mass of the body, thus helping to maintain a lean figure. Eggs and dairy products are some common sources of lean protein which can be included in the diet plan.

5. Eat fiber rich foods

It is important to include fiber rich foods, as those foods provide energy to the body. Fiber rich foods help to aid the normal digestion of the body. Fiber rich foods help to increase the body metabolism. That in turn helps to maintain a lean figure. There are many natural sources of fiber rich foods like broccoli, cabbage and whole grains which can be included in the diet plan.

6. Exercise daily

To maintain a lean figure, it is important to exercise on a daily basis. Any form of exercise is good for weight; the idea is to maintain weight and a lean figure. Walking and jogging can help to maintain an ideal weight. You also have a choice of working out at a gym to maintain your weight.
A little discipline is all that is required to maintain a lean figure.
